Iran imports more than 2 million tons of bitumen over eight months

Iranian Hormozgan province Customs Supervisor said that 2.381 million tons of bitumen worth $561 million have been exported from Iran over the past eight months of this year.

“The major part of bitumen was exported to UAE, India, Qatar, Kenya, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Turkey, Oman, Iraq and Sri Lanka,” an official in Hormozgan Province Customs Administration, Alireza Dashtani said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

“The amount of bitumen exported from Hormozgan province over a period of eight months has decreased by 19 percent in terms of value terms and 5 percent in terms of weight,” he said.

“One of the measures taken by the customs authorities of Hormozgan province is being open for 12 hours per day to anybody who is going to export their items,” he added.
