By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

SOCAR Ukraine Trade House LLC has lowered the price for diesel fuel to be supplied to Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) in December 2018 auctions on Prozorro, the company told Trend.

SOCAR Ukraine Trade House LLC is one of the three winners of December bids for diesel fuel supply for Ukrainian Railways.

The company said that in accordance with the contract, the oil trader has undertaken obligations to supply 10,000 tons of oil products at a price of 31,968 hryvnia per ton, including VAT, which fully corresponds to the market prices for the moment of announcement of the tender.

“The tender procedure was held in strict accordance with the Ukrainian legislation. The invitation to negotiate on the revision of the estimated price of supplies came only after the appeal procedure was completed, which led to the blocking of tenders,” SOCAR Ukraine said.

Moreover, the company said that according to the tender documentation, when holding auctions using formula calculations, winners fix the margin based on Platts quotes and the exchange rate at the time of the transaction.

“Therefore, this decision of SOCAR is based not so much on legislative as on ethical norms of doing business. Impeccable reputation is our main asset,” SOCAR said.

SOCAR has been operating in Ukraine since 2008. SOCAR has 59 filling stations and two oil loading bunkers in this country.
