As of January 17, the daily volumes of gas supplied to the population and other consumers in Azerbaijan amounted to 34.571 million cubic meters which is by 3.7 million cubic meters more than the previous day, the Azerigas Production Union under Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR, which distributes and sells gas in Azerbaijan, told Trend Jan. 18.
In mid-December, this figure was at the level of 25.615 million cubic meters. Thus, the demand for gas in Azerbaijan has increased by 35 percent compared to December.
The daily gas consumption in Baku on Jan. 17 amounted to 20.591 million cubic meters, in the regions of the country – to 13.98 million cubic meters.
According to the data of the Azerigas PU, the number of gas subscribers in Azerbaijan exceeds 2.1 million, and the level of gas supply in the country is about 95.7 percent.
