Uzbekistan sees decline in crude oil output

Uzbekistan’s oil reserves haven’t changed since 2000 and stood at 594 million barrels over the last 18 years, Trend reports citing World Oil Review 2019 published by Italy's Eni company.

At the same time, crude and non-conventional oil and natural gas liquids production in Uzbekistan decreased from 175,000 barrels per day in 2000 to 43,000 barrels per day in 2018. Compound annual growth rate decreased by 7.5 percent in 18 years.

Uzbekistan consumed 106,000 barrels of oil per day in the year of 2000, and this figure has also decreased. In 2018, Uzbekistan consumed only 55,000 barrels per day. Compound annual growth rate decreases by 3.6 percent.

Per capita consumption of oil in Uzbekistan in 2000 was 1.55 barrel and this figure was decreasing till 2017 by 0.6 barrel. However, a slight increase was observed in 2018 when per capita consumption increased by 0.62.

Eni is the largest Italian oil and gas company headquarterd in Rome. The main regions of production are Africa, Russia and Kazakhstan, with the main markets in Italy and other European countries.
