Enterprises established in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province through foreign investments

The enterprises processing mining materials were established in Khoy county of Iran’s West Azerbaijan province through foreign investments, head of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Iran’s West Azerbaijan province Mohammad Dehqan said.

The capacity of a gold and silver refining plant to be commissioned soon is 600 kg of bullions, Dehqan added, Trend reports referring to the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization’s website.

The plant is planned to be commissioned through a Chinese investor’s funds worth $1 million and 81 people will be employed there.

Dehqan stressed that the second enterprise producing silica refractory mass and silica fume was set up through an Azerbaijani investor’s funds worth $5 million. The enterprise produces 3,000 tons a year. Ten people have been employed at the enterprise.

The products of the enterprise will be exported to Russia, Azerbaijan, other neighboring countries and the Central Asian countries, he said.

Dehqan said that 15 silica mines operate in the West Azerbaijan province. Some 249,000 tons are produced there a year. Some 130 people are working there.

He added that an enterprise was set up to produce PVC film through a Turkish investor’s funds worth $2 million. The enterprise produces 2,000 tons of PVC film per year. Twelve people have been employed there.
