Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas and German’s transnational chemical company Linde Aktiengesellschaft (Linde AG) signed a Memorandum of understanding, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KazMunayGas (KMG).
The agreement signing took place during the two-day official visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev to Berlin (Germany).
The memorandum was signed by KMG’s Chairman of the Management Board Alik Aidarbayev and the Executive Vice President of Linde plc Christian Bruch.
According to the information, the memorandum oversees cooperation in utilization and processing of natural and associated gas in Kazakhstan, cooperation in technologies exchange, trainings and expertise exchange.
“I am sure that the signed memorandum will give an additional impulse to gas processing, and the future cooperation will bring Kazakh economy and country’s oil and gas sector investments, technology and new work places,” Aidarbayev said.
Furthermore, in October of this year, specialists of KMG and Linde AG talked possibilities of creation of joint venture within the framework of the project on construction of a gas refinery in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region implementation.
KMG is Kazakh operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
