Iran's Nouri Petrochemical Company has signed a new contract, Trend reports citing the the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) of Iran.
According to the report, the contract was signed between Iran's Nouri Petrochemical Company and the Iranian petrochemical consortium. The consortium included Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company, Namvaran Consulting Engineers Managers Company and Dor Riz Engineering Company.
“The EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) contract is worth 43 million euros and 2.5 trillion rials (about $59.5 million),” report said.
“Under the agreement, heavy end sulfur will be reduced from 2,500 ppm to 50ppm and 10ppm,” managing director of Nouri Petrochemical Company Taghi Sanei said at the signing ceremony of contract.
According to Taghi Sanei, in the next stage, the LAB chemical products (used in the production of detergents) will be produced using 10ppm.
Sanei said that the product to be produced will bring great profits to the company. Moreover, the consumption of this product is high.
“The Nouri Petrochemical Company produces 4.5 million tons of products a year," he said.
“More than 80 percent of the work for the production will be carried out within the country and 70 percent of the equipment will be provided by the government,” Managing director of the Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company Safar Ali Babaee said at the signing ceremony of contract.
