Water and electricity facilities launched in Iran

As many as 13 water and electricity facilities were launched in the North Khorasan and Kurdistan provinces of Iran on Jan. 31, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 47.7 trillion rials (about $1.14 billion) was spent on these facilities. One of the facilities was launched is in North Khorasan and 12 in Kurdistan Province.

“So, the 3rd steam unit of the Shirvan combined cycle power plant was put into operation in the North Khorasan Province. About 41 trillion rials (about $976 million) was spent on this,” the report said.

Furthermore, 7 electricity facilities and 5 water facilities have been launched in Iran's Kurdistan Province. A total of 6.76 trillion rials (about $161 million) was spent on these facilities, the report said.
