The Ukrainian subsidiary of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR supplied 3,800 tons of Lithuanian motor gasoline to the country in May 2021, Trend reports referring to Ukrainian media.
The volume of Lithuanian gasoline supply by WOG stood at 4,200 tons, while Amic Ukraine, Alliance Oil Ukraine and KLO delivered 3,100 tons, 2,600 tons and 230 tons, respectively.
OKKO became the main supplier of Lithuanian motor gasoline to the country in May 2021 with 10,200 tons, three times more than in May 2020 with 3,300 tons.
Total imports of motor gasoline to Ukraine in May 2021 saw a 34 percent increase (29,000 tons) and reached 114,700 tons, compared to the same period of 2020 (85,700 tons).
The major part of the gasoline imports accounted for the last decade of May amid the planned maintenance of the Mozyr Oil Refinery, which started on June 1 and is expected to last a month.
Ukraine imported 476,700 tons of gasoline from January through May 2021, which is 29 percent more than in the same period in 2020.
Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR’s representative office opened in Ukraine in 2008.
The company acquired about 20 Tala-Nafta filling stations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions. as well as Svitanok large oil depot in Odessa region in 2009.
The company took control of the fuelling networks ONIO (four filling stations in Kyiv and the region) and GFC (in Lviv region) in 2010-2011. SOCAR received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to purchase 26 filling stations and one tank farm of the Kalina group in August 2012.
