The production of Iran’s Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company increased by 20 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through August 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
According to the report, the company produced 678,828 tons of hydrocarbon products in 5 months.
In addition, the company produced 303,108 tons of various polyethylene products within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 28 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“The Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company also produced 208,314 tons of ethylene, which is 46 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
The company's revenues for five months amounted to 95.2 trillion rials (about $2.27 billion). This is 50 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.
Over the 5 months, the company's polymer exports increased by 26 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year and amounted to 188,543 tons.
Reportedly, 52 percent of shares of Iran’s Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company owned by the Ministry of Cooperatives Labour and Social Welfare of Iran.
As reported, the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company is located in the Petrochemical special economic zone at the Imam Khomeini port of Khuzestan province.
The company annually produces 520 tons of ethylene, 300,000 tons of LDPE, 260,000 tons of LLDPE, 140,000 tons of HDPE, 154,000 tons of propylene, 134,000 tons of DPG, 104,000 tons of C4 Cut, 51,000 tons of Butadiene, 20,000 tons of butane, 1,500 tons of Pe-wax and other products.
