Sales of Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas down over 9M2021

The volume of sales of own produced oil and gas condensate of Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas (KMG) decreased by 5.1 percent over the first nine months of 2021 compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 16.1 million tons, of which 63 percent was exported, Trend reports citing KMG.

Supplies to the domestic market of own produced oil and gas condensate amounted to 5,956 thous. tonnes, including supplies of crude oil from operating assets (Ozenmunaigas, Embamunaigas, Kazakhturkmunai and Urikhtau Operating) in the amount of 3.2 million tons to the Atyrau Refinery, Shymkent refinery and Pavlodar refinery for further oil refining and sale of oil products.

Commercial gas sales in the nine months of 2021 increased slightly, by only 0.2 percent compared to the nine months of 2020 and amounted to 15.5 billion cubic meters. Export of commercial gas amounted to 4.6 billion cubic meters, of which 96 percent was exported to China. Compared to the same period in 2020, there is a decrease in gas export volumes by 21.3 percent, associated with a decrease in gas supplies to Russia and China.

National Company “KazMunayGas” (KMG) is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan. Joint Stock Company “National Company “KazMunayGas” was established by way of merger of “Kazakhoil” National Oil and Gas Company and “Oil and Gas Transportation” National Company pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of February 20, 2002.
