TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.29
Trend:
Iran is planning to use new and modern methods to export crude oil and gas condensate, said the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Mohsen Khojaste Mehr, Trend reports citing ILNA.
One option for Iran is to search for new markets, Mehr noted.
"Any individual who can purchase oil and gas condensate and provide a guarantee - is a potential client," he indicated.
The Iranian Minister of Oil recently told the Parliament, that the country would use new methods for oil export such as bartering oil with commodity and foreign investments.
With regards to gas, Iran has recently made a move, which involves two regional countries - Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Iran signed a deal on November 28 to swap around 1.5-2 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Gas swap from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan via Iran will start on December 22, providing 5 Iranian provinces with gas.
