TEHRAN, Iran, March 9

The required investment for the construction of the Khuzestan oil refinery is estimated at $4.5 billion, which will begin in next Iranian year (starts on March 21), says the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company (NIECEC) Farhad Ahmadi, Trend reports citing SHANA.

“NIECEC is contracted to build a new 210,000 b/d crude distillation unit (CDU) in Abadan oil refinery by the end of the first half of the next Iranian year,” said Ahmadi.

He announced that 9 refining projects are currently underway, including the construction plan of the refinery hydrogen plant of Isfahan refinery, which will be completed within the next 6 months.

According to the official, the physical progress of the development plan of the Abadan refinery is calculated as 86 percent.

Ahmadi went on to announce that the Naeen-Kashan-Rey Pipeline will be put into operation by June 2022.

“New Bandar Abbas-Sirjan-Rafsanjan Pipeline is an oil pipeline under construction in Iran,” he said adding that the project will be fully operational by the end of next year if the equipment is provided.

The fuel pipeline which is supposed to provide gas oil for the Chabahar power plant will be put into operation in April, said the managing director of the NIECEC.

The said 20 km pipeline provides gas oil for the Chabahar power plant. This pipeline, with a capacity of 1.3 million liters per day, is transferring 400 cubic meters of gas oil to the Chabahar plant uninterruptedly.
