BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Iran’s daily gasoline consumption has increased by 27 percent, from the beginning of the Nowruz holiday in Iran (March 16) to April 3, 2022, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Products and Distribution Company (NIOPDC) Keramat Veys-Karami told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.

According to Veys-Karami, Iran consumed an average of 110.2 million liters of gasoline daily within the mentioned period.

“Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, an average of 88.6 million liters of gasoline had been consumed in the country per day,” he added.

The director noted that on April 2, 2022 alone, Iran consumed 80 million liters of gasoline.

Gasoline consumption in Iran in recent days:

- March 21 – 89 million liters daily

- March 22 – 113 million liters daily

- March 23 – 113.8 million liters daily

- March 24 – 109.3 million liters daily

- March 25 – 101 million liters daily

- March 26 – 113.8 million liters daily

- March 27 – 111.1 million liters daily

- March 28 – 109.4 million liters daily

- March 29 – 108.8 million liters daily

- March 30 – 108.6 million liters daily

- March 31 – 119.7 million liters daily

- April 1 – 121.3 million liters daily

- April 2 – 80 million liters daily

“In total, about 1.4 billion liters of gasoline were consumed in Iran during Nowruz holiday,” Veys-Karami said.

According to the report of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Iran currently produces an average of 95 million liters of gasoline daily.

At present, Iran has the potential to produce 103-105 million liters of gasoline daily.
