BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27. Iran’s exports of petrochemical products increased by 60.2 percent in value and 7.5 percent in volume, during 10 months (August 23, 2021 through May 21, 2022), compared to the previous similar period, Trend reports citing Iran’s National Petrochemical Company’s website.

According to the report, Iran exported a total of 24.6 million tons of petrochemical products worth $15.6 billion within the mentioned period.

Meanwhile, in the previous similar period, Iran's petrochemical exports amounted to 22.9 million tons worth $9.75 billion.

At the same time, Iran sold 9.72 million tons of petrochemical products worth about $2 billion within the country in 10 months, which is an increase of 62.6 percent in value and 6.81 percent in volume, compared to the previous similar period.

So, Iran’s sales of petrochemical products in countrywide stood at 9.1 million tons worth $1.23 billion in the previous similar period.

Over 10 months, Iran produced 62.3 million tons of petrochemical products, which is 8.39 percent more than in the previous period.
