BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12. The production of Iran's Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company increased by 105,000 tons, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), CEO of the company, Reza Ghasemi Shahri said, Trend reports.
The CEO said that in total, the company produced about 1.27 million tons of various products in last Iranian year.
Ghasemi Shahri also added that last year, the company's income totaled 217 trillion rials (about $5.17 billion).
“Production costs amounted to 177 trillion rials (about $4.21 billion). The company's net income amounted to 34 trillion rials (about $810 million), which is an increase of 4 percent compared to the preceding year,” he added.
Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company launched its activity in 1998 and it operates in the Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone. The company produces PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) products.
The company produces more than 1.6 million tons of products a year, and the value of the company's annual production is estimated at more than $800 million. The company operates under the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company of Iran.
