Tonight at 01:30 a.m. the Gazexport Ltd. company (a daughter structure of the Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) Gazprom) suspended to deliver gas to Azerbaijan, SOCAR, which is a fuel buyer at the price of $60 for 1,000 cu m., told Trend.

According to the SOCAR spokesman, the gas non-supply is expected to last till 29 July. The reason for the fuel supply is the repair works on the gas pipeline on the Dagestan territory.

In January-June Azerbaijan received 2,6 billion cu m gas from Gazexport Ltd., which is for 99 million cu m less of the delivered in the first half-year of 2004. In June 367,1 million cu m gas was delivered to Azerbaijan, which is for 71,1 million cu m less of the imported in June 2004.

SOCAR plans to buy some 6 billion cu m gas from Gazexport this year. The natural gas is supplied to the country through he pipeline Shirvanovka-Gazimagomed.
