Рђzerbaijan started gas deliveries to Georgia

On 23 January at 15.00 p.m. Azerbaijan started gas deliveries to Georgia, the Azerigaz Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) told Trend. The gas is currently supplied at the volume of 2 million cubic meters, JSC noted.

Decision on gas supplies on the account of Azerbaijan own resources has been taken today after the meeting of the Minister of Energy and Industry of Azerbaijan Natik Aliyev with the Georgian Energy Minister Gilauri. Under the accord, Azerbaijan commences deliveries to Georgia from 15.00 p.m.

The gas supply is performed due to the explosion on the Mozdok-Tbilisi gas pipeline, through which Georgia receives natural gas from Russia.
