Experts of the Japanese Fund for International Cooperation Jaika has launched a visit to Azerbaijan on Monday for final coordination of the project on the reconstruction of the 220KW Mushvig substation, which supplies energy to major part of Baku, Marlen Asgarov, the Vice President of Azerenergy joint stock company.

According to Asgarov, the feasibility study of the project was developed last year with the participation of Japanese consultants and specialists of Azerenergy. During this visit it is planned to discuss the cost of the repair work and term of implementation of the project.

The remarkable fact is that the financing of the work and the acquisition of the necessary equipment will be carried out at the expense of the Jaika. In compliance with the official appeal by the Azerbaijani government in 2005, the Japanese fund voiced its approval for financing the refurbishment work.

Under the preparations to autumn-winter season Azerenergy held inspection of 110KW oil plug switches, carried out anti-corrosion work. At present the outdated oil plugs are being replaced.
