Azerigaz works out TEO on new pipelines

JSC Azerigaz completed design operations on future construction of two new pipelines: Sangachal-Garadagh and Sangachal-Gadjigabul, JSC officials told trend. Routes of both the pipelines have been already selected.

These pipelines are purposed for transfer of gas produced at Azeri and Shah Deniz oilfields, from Sangachal terminal wielded by BP, an operator of these projects.

At the moment Azerigaz systems receive petroleum gas produced at Azeri oilfield. However, upon rise of supply volumes and pressure of supplied gas, the company will have to upgrade its infrastructure, JSC officials said.

Outside diameter of Sangchal-Garadagh pipeline totals 1,000 mm. It is purposed to transfer of gas for supply of Baku city. Outside diameter of Sangachal-Gadjigabul pipeline totals 1,200 mm. It is purposed to pump gas to the all-republican gas transport system, Azerigaz officials said.length of both the pipelines is 68 km. Preliminary cost of high pressure pipelines construction is $45mln.
