A meeting of experts of Azerbaijan and Turkey to be held in Tbilisi to discuss possible increase of Georgians quotes on the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline at the expense of Turkey, originally scheduled for 12-14 June, has been postponed for 19 June, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy, told Trend.

At present the purchase of additional gas volumes by Georgia for the Shah Deniz gas field is under discussion. It can occur if the Turkish company BotaЕџ is unready to admit gas supplied by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has its own intention in respect to this portion of gas, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) said. Baku is eager to purchase this portion itself.

In accordance with the existing a agreements, Georgia can receive 800 million cu m of natural gas via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline at privileged terms. However, Georgia finds this amount as insufficient and is eager to increase its share to 1.5-2 million cu m a year.
