Work on preparing the 2007 fuel-energy balance of Azerbaijan will be completed after all components of gas production are determined, Trendreports quoting oil and gas sources of Azerbaijan.
It needs to define the common volume of the production from the gaseous condensate field Shah Deniz, the same source stated.
In addition, at the end of 2006, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) passed a new program on increasing its own gas production.
This year, Azerbaijan also refused to import gas from Russia. As a result, SOCAR stopped exporting its gas via Baku- Novorossisk and increased the oil refinery to receive mazut which is used in electric power stations to produce electric power.
Furthermore, this year Azerbaijan began to deliver SOCAR's own gas to Georgia.
