Georgia, Tbilisi /corr Trend N.Kirztkhalia / Nika Giluari, the Georgian Energy Minister informed the Trend correspondent in Tbilisi that Georgia is to restore its export of natural gas from the Shah Deniz field via the South Caucasus pipeline from 15 March.
He did not elaborate the daily volume of gas that Georgia will receive from this field. The supply of gas from Shah Deniz to Georgia had ceased at the end of January due to technical problems experienced within the first well of the field.
The guaranteed gas volume which Georgia will receive at the price of $62 per 1,000 cu.m in 2007 will reach 250 mln. cu.m. This year Georgia expects to receive 800mln cu m of gas from Turkey's share in the Shah Deniz project.
This volume will be delivered by April via the Gardabani-Garadag pipeline. In January, 30 mln cu.m of gas was delivered to Georgia. The cost of SOCAR's gas for Georgia amounts to $120 per 1,000 cu.m.
