Oil Production in Kazakhstan to Reach 65mln tons in 2007

According to Izbergenov, the gas reserves in the sea shelf are assessed in 3tln cu m, with 1tln cu m being recoverable.

Oil production in Kazakhstan in 2007 is forecast at 65mln tons, which is near the corresponding figure of last year. Gas production will comprise 29.3bln cu m. The figure will increase up to 90mln tons of oil and 52.5bln cu m of gas by 2010.

Oil and gas production in 2015 is estimated to make up 150mln tons of oil and 79.4bln cu m of gas.

The conference was organized by the British Confidence Energy Ltd. consulting company and the Azerbaijani State Oil Academy.
