Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / In 2006, the total prime cost of commodity oil of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) made up AZN 377.9mln, that is AZN 62.6mln more than in 2005. The prime cost of 1 ton of oil comprised AZN 48.57, which is AZN 8.58 more than in 2005, according to the final report of SOCAR for 2006.
In 2005, the total prime cost of commodity oil was AZN 315.3mln. The prime cost of 1 ton of oil was AZN 39.99.
From the total expenditure for production 14.8% fell to salaries, 3.5% on social needs, 17.2% on amortization, 17.9% on material expenditures, 23.6% on tax on trade (royalty) and 1% on land-tax.
According to the report, the prime cost primarily increased due to a rise in salaries and social assignments, as well as material expenditure (caused by a rise in energy prices).
