Azerbaijan exports over 97,000 tons of petroleum, petroleum oils to Georgia

In January-June 2019, Azerbaijan exported 97,246 tons of petroleum and petroleum oils to Georgia in the amount of $53.7 million, which is more compared to the same period last year (75,291 tons), Trend reports with reference to the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

In addition, in the first half of 2019 Georgia imported from Azerbaijan 985,6 tons of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons worth $165 million.

Over the year, the volume of gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Georgia increased by 70,613 tons or 7.7 percent.

As for the import of cement, in the reporting period of 2019, Georgia received 189,758 tons of cement from Azerbaijan in the amount of $10.6 million, which is 8,806 tons more compared to the first half of 2018 (180,952 tons).

In addition, Azerbaijan exported 14,614 tons ofbars and rods of iron or non-alloy steel to Georgia in the amount of $6.8 million for 6 months of 2019, which is 8,015 tons more than in the same period of 2018.

In the first half of 2019 imports between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $2.9 million, which is $9,700 less than during the same period last year.
