Microsoft's office in Azerbaijan launched realization of Microsoft IT Academy program in Azerbaijani Technical University, Microsoft Azerbaijan manager on partnership projects in education, Emin Akhundov, told Trend .
Akhundov said that 10 computers were given to the university within the project. A training-center allowing students of the university and concerned people to attend Microsoft courses at a reasonable price has been set up.
There are reasonable prices owing to little expenses to organize courses. Microsoft specialists hold special courses for instructor to have intermediate exams to get Microsoft Certified Professional degree. IT-academies of Microsoft are entitled to conduct courses. They have certified specialists.
Microsoft's future plans include expansion of the project in Caucasus, Khazar universities and European lycee named after Zarifa Aliyeva.
Microsoft Office Specialist and IT Professional are offered for schools and universities within Microsoft IT Academy program.
IT Professional offers initial professional preparation of specialists on technical support of table and handheld PCs, administration of computer systems, networks and data base, designing of applications and data bases in different spheres.
Microsoft Office Specialist is envisaged for secondary schools.
Designing of business-documents (CV, forms, applications, etc.) is expected to be taught besides study of Microsoft Office users' applications within these courses.
