Azerbaijani-Russian JV completes constructing Azerbaijani segment of fiber optic cable main

Azerbaijani-Russian joint venture C-Ring Telecom has completed construction of Azerbaijani segment of fiber optic cable main connecting telecommunication infrastructure of Azerbaijan's national operators - Azertelekom company and Russian Synterra, Azertelekom told Trend .

At present, operations on testing main line on the basis of which international communication line with 10 Gbps throughput capacity are being held.

Implementation of the project will allow expanding operators' geographical presence on Azerbaijani and Russian markets, as well as nearby countries of the Caspian region.

C-Ring Telecom will utilize the resources and infrastructure capabilities of both Azertelecom and Sinterra in its projects in Azerbaijan and Russia. This will allow the Azerbaijani business and the population accessing a range of communication services provided by Synterra, including services of international long-distance communications, rental of main channel, services based on network IP MPLS, Internet access, access to network data center resources and distributed call-center. Azertelecom will provide access to basic telecommunications services and C-Ring Telecom will develop innovative services, including a call center, GRID technologies and content services.
