It will be possible to sell digital goods online in Uzbekistan, without a customs entry.
The relevant changes have been made by the Cabinet of Ministers to the Regulations on the procedure of customs clearance (customs entry) and accounting of sales, registration of the right to use software and information products.
The digital goods are electronic copies of intellectual property objects or actions performed in an electronic environment without a tangible result (subscription, cloud technologies), the document says.
The importation of digital goods means the transfer of exclusive rights over the product itself or over its use.
When a product is sold on a tangible medium, transactions are processed in the usual way. When the products are sold via the Internet, without a medium, it is allowed to confirm transactions by electronic checks, copies of invoices, screenshots of transactions.
