Prospective start-ups may become residents of Azerbaijan’s High Tech Park

Five start-ups will get the chance to become residents of the High Tech Park of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), a source in the High Tech Park told Trend Sept. 17.

Presently, selection of teams is underway that will be able to benefit from the High Tech Park business incubation center within three months, according to the source.

“In accordance with the selection criteria, the projects’ teams should consist of three people,” the source noted. “The projects should be science intensive, innovative and be supported by a business model. Start-ups will receive an office with internet access, they will also receive mentoring support. Business development training and seminars, as well as meetings with investors, will be organized for them. In addition, the projects will be evaluated by the teaching staff of ANAS. Prospective projects will receive the resident status of the industrial center of the High Tech Park.”

The ANAS experimental-industrial plant, a plant for recycling of lead-alkaline batteries, MARS Armor company, the ANAS Science and Technology Park, Millers Oils Azerbaijan LLC, Agro Bio Eco Tech LLC, DN Technologies, EPC Group, Algoritmika, LabDisc and AZEL Tech have already obtained the resident statuses of the ANAS High Tech Park.

The High Tech Park was created in November 2016. It aims to support innovative ideas, fully implementing and selling them in the future.
