Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The US Consultation Company, InnoVest Group, plans to hold International Tech-Transfer and Technology Commercialization Conference - Baku. David H. Dastvar, Managing Partner, stated that the conference will occur in the autumn of 2007 or spring of 2008.
The event will be attended by the representatives of the Azerbaijan Government Ministries, National Academy of Sciences, Universities, National and international corporations, banks.
The group visited Baku from June 5th to June 10th. During their visit they congregated with several government and business leaders. The group included Fari Nazemi , Managing Director and David H. Dastvar , Managing Partner. They met with Mahmud Kerimov, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences , Rasim M. Alguliev , Director of Institute of Information Technology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The meeting focused on the promotion of entrepreneurship culture in Azerbaijan, the implementation of processes which would promote Technology transfer from universities and R InnoVest Group will perform a feasibility study to identify the best practices for Azerbaijan in tech-transfer and commercialization opportunities.
InnoVest Group will discuss the following actions with the Azerbaijan counterparts to investigate the feasibility of establishing an "Azerbaijan National High-Tech Incubation" network. InnoVest Group will observe the requirements for Azerbaijan technology and innovation; observe existing R Academy of Sciences, universities, Labs and government, Create R Azerbaijan as a regional leader in tech-transfer and commercialization
Follow up meetings are planned for September 2007.
