Iran discloses volume of non-oil items exported from Bushehr province to Qatar via ports

The non-oil items worth $8 million were exported from Iran’s southern Bushehr province to Qatar via ports from October 23 through November 21 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Deputy Chairman of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of the Bushehr province Abulqasim Mohammadzadeh said.

“The export of products increased by 29.5 percent from October 23 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year,” Mohammadzadeh added, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

The deputy chairman added that more than 66,000 tons were exported to Qatar from October 23 through November 21 of this Iranian year, which is an increase of 57 percent compared to the same period of last year.

"Among the imported products were mainly agricultural products, cement and clinker, shrimp, steel bullion, iron ingots and other products," Mohammadzadeh said.

“Some 1.64 tons worth $6,000 were imported from Qatar via the ports of Bushehr province during the reporting period,” the deputy chairman said. “The import of goods increased by 198.2 percent in terms of weight from October 23 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year.”

Mohammadzadeh said that 581,000 tons of non-oil items worth $107.9 million were exported to Qatar via the customs of Bushehr province from October 23 through November 21 of this Iranian year.

The deputy chairman said that export value increased by 57 percent, while export volume by 22 percent from October 23 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year.
