UzAuto Motors jointly with its Kazakh partner SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP announced the start of Chevrolet cars sales in Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing UzAuto Motors.
At the first stage, the dealer network in Kazakhstan received Malibu car, which is the flagship of Chevrolet brand among passenger cars, as well as updated models Cobalt and Nexia, minivan Damas, Labo truck and crossover Trailblazer.
In Kazakhstan, Damas and Labo cars are the leaders in advance orders among other Chevrolet brand models. Manufacturers attribute this to the high growth in demand among SMEs, which need a cost-effective and functional vehicles for the delivery of goods in this difficult situation, the message said.
UzAuto Motors launched mass production of Chevrolet cars at Saryarka-AvtoProm LLP in Kostanay city of Kazakhstan on March 28, 2020, with participation of Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin.
Earlier, UzAuto Motors announced that company plans to stop production of Chevrolet Spark, Nexia, Cobalt and Gentra cars until 2023. Instead, the company is to launch a new platform, on the basis of which several models will be produced including, among others, Chevrolet Onix.
