Kazakhstan's Kazmotransflot doubles oil transportation plan in 1Q2020

The total volume of oil transported by Kazakhstan’s Kazmotransflot (KMTF) National Sea Carrier has amounted to 2.3 million tons n 1Q2020 compared to the planned 1.4 million tons, a representative of KMTF told Trend.

Thus, the plan was overdone by 158 percent.

The official said that during the reporting period, KMTF transported 168,000 tons of oil in the Caspian region, including 105,000 tons from Aktau to Makhachkala.

The plan execution on the Aktau-Makhachkala route is 78 percent, due to the fact that KMTF partially reoriented the tanker fleet to transport oil from the Russian Yuri Korchagin field, ensuring the transportation of an additional 63,000 tons of Russian oil.

During the reporting period, the production indicators performance in the Caspian region was 124 percent of the planned figure.

The volume of KMTF oil transportation in the high seas amounted to 2.1 million tons of oil in 1Q2020. The plan was over executed by 161 percent, due to involvement of chartered vessels for oil transportation by KMG International.

KMTF’s container transportation volume was 3,194 TEU in 1Q2020, including 2,368 TEU from Aktau and 826 TEU from Baku.

KMTF also said that the coronavirus situation did not affect the company's production plans. The work is carried out as usual and there are no plans to make adjustments to the production plan due to the coronavirus.
