Turkey discloses 1H2020 volume of cargo transshipment through Gulluk port

The transshipment of goods through Turkey’s Gulluk port in the province of Mugla amounted to over 2.6 million tons from January through June 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

During the reporting period, ships flying the Turkish flag handled more than 1.1 million tons through the Gulluk port, and ships flying the flag of other countries – over 1.5 million tons of cargo.

Meanwhile, no cargo was transited through the Gulluk port, the ministry said.

In 1H2020, the volume of cargo movement via Turkish ports amounted to 179.6 million tons.

Meanwhile, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 14.3 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 6.9 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 158.3 million tons.

Over 36.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the ports of Turkey during the first six months of this year.

In June 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 28.1 million tons. At the same time, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.4 million tons.

The volume of transshipment of goods through the ports of Turkey by ships flying their countries’ flags exceeded 1 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – to 24.6 million tons.

During the reporting month, 5.4 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.
