Air Arabia Abu Dhabi from the UAE received permission for regular flights to Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Transport in Uzbekistan.

Based on the agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and the UAE on air traffic, the Uzaviation Agency issued an operational permit for Air Arabia Abu Dhabi LLC to perform regular flights on the Abu Dhabi - Tashkent - Abu Dhabi route.

The company also received permission to operate regular flights on the Sharjah - Tashkent - Sharjah route.

The Abu Dhabi airline announced that it will operate flights to Uzbekistan on Airbus-320-214 aircraft.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is the new low-cost carrier of the United Arab Emirates, which began operating this summer. The airline was established following an agreement between Etihad Airways and Air Arabia as the first low-cost airline based at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan Airways begins a phased resumption of international flights on a regular basis. At the first stage, in particular, flights on the Tashkent-Dubai-Tashkent route were restored.

Starting from September 4, passenger flights operate once a week, on Fridays.

Passengers arriving from the United Arab Emirates, if they have a certificate with a negative test result for COVID-19, will need to go through the temperature measurement procedure and fill out a questionnaire with an obligation for 14-day self-isolation.
