Azerbaijan's ADY Express LLC reveals ten-month cargo handling volumes

The ADY Express LLC transported 49,739 tons of cargo via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway from January through October 2020, Spokesperson for the ADY Express LLC Ilham Abdulov told Trend.

According to Abdulov, in 2019, 22,900 tons of coiled steel, 2,050 tons of steel plates were transported.

A total of 49,739 tons of cargo were transported in 957 wagons in the first nine months of 2020, Abdulov emphasized.

The spokesman noted that 91 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation falls on coiled steel, about 6 percent - steel frames, other cargo (building materials, agricultural machinery, etc.) account for 3 percent.

During the reporting period, 45,549 tons of rolled steel in 709 wagons, 2,601 tons of steel frames in 190 wagons were transported along the route Russia-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey; the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway transported other goods (construction materials, agricultural machinery, etc.) in the volume of 1,589 tons in 58 wagons.
