Azerbaijan Railways subsidiary continues to export locally-produced urea

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11

A subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC - ADY Express LLC - continues to export urea produced at SOCAR's urea plant, Trend reports with reference to ADY Express LLC.

“Urea, transported in big bags (soft container) of 800 kilograms each, is loaded into open wagons at the Haji Zeynalabdin station and delivered to the Georgian port of Poti. The wagons are provided by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and ADY Express LLC,” the company said.

The company noted that the products transported along the route of st. ‘Haji Zeynalabdin - Boyuk-Kesik - Poti, reaching a distance of 884 kilometers within 3-4 days, is loaded onto ships in the port of Poti and delivered by sea to the destination.

“This time it is planned to transport 30,000 tons of urea in 500 wagons. Of these, 2,700 tons have already been loaded into 45 wagons and dispatched,” the message said.

In total, from October 2019 (the beginning of transportation of urea by rail) to June 2021, ADY Express transported more than 100,000 tons of urea.
