Iran’s PMO unveils details cargo movements in Jask Port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 8

A total of 26,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

So, about 19,700 tons of cargo were loaded and 6,160 tons were unloaded in the port during the fifth month. This is an increase of 7 percent compared to the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021).

According to the statistics, 19,700 tons of cargo were exported and 6,160 tons were imported through the Jask port over the reporting month.

In addition, 40 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for cabotage in the fifth month.

“About 19,700 tons of essential products, 40 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, and 6,120 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 5th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fifth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.29 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 9.8 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
