The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by about 8.2 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 137,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 9th month. So, 108,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 29,200 tons were unloaded.
About 108,000 tons of cargo were exported and 9,350 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port over the ninth month.
"Furthermore, 19,500 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transit. Also, 478 tons of cargo were loaded and 267 tons were unloaded for cabotage during the reporting month," the statistics said.
As well as, 100 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for other purposes.
So, 80,200 tons of essential products, 15 tons of metal products, 32,100 tons of construction and mining materials, 21,200 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts and 1,610 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 1,210 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 100 tons of small and assorted products and 1,120 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.
About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
