The number of passenger planes received by Kermanshah International Airport in the western province of Kermanshah increased by 21 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.
According to the statistics, 3,466 passenger planes took off and landed at the airport in 8 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 2,862.
“Within 8 months, a total of 244,092 passengers were transported via the Kermanshah International Airport. Passenger transportation increased by 6 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 229,229 passengers had been transported in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
In addition, 1,719 tons of cargo were transported through the airport for the reporting period. Cargo transportation increased by 22 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 1,407 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Iran's Kermanshah International Airport is located on 237 hectares of land.
