BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Opportunities for transit cargo transportation are expanding in Azerbaijan, Director of the subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC - ADY Container LLC Natig Jafarov said at the international conference "Black and Caspian Sea Ports and Shipping 2022" in Georgia, ADY Container LLC told Trend.
Work is underway to develop container traffic in Azerbaijan, Jafarov said in his speech on the topic "Eurasian railway junction: Azerbaijan as a transport hub".
According to him, multimodal cargo transportation is also developing in Azerbaijan.
The international conference "Black and Caspian Sea Ports and Shipping 2022" held in Georgia from April 5 through April 7, was attended by more than 150 delegations from the countries of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea regions.
Representatives of ADY Container LLC took part in the conference with the aim of strengthening regional ties in the global logistics and supply chain.
Representatives of 25 leading transport and logistics companies spoke at the conference.
