The first official visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is planned for this year, Kazinform reported.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Vietnam Socialist Republic to Kazakhstan Vu The Hiep made it public today. The date of the visit is not fixed yet.
The Ambassador emphasized that it was a great historic event and Vietnam was interested in building full-scale diplomatic, political and economic relations with Kazakhstan.
Besides, Vu The Hiep noted that our countries had great prospects for productive cooperation.
"Vietnam is interested in attracting Kazakhstani investments into the oil and gas exploration and production as well," he said. "Kazakhstan and Vietnam set similar strategic goals for the decade ahead and the countries' governments aim to rank among the industrial countries by 2020".
