To date, 49 countries and 11 international organizations have officially confirmed their participation in EXPO-2017 international exhibition to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, 'Astana EXPO-2017' national company said Oct. 21.
All the work on the construction of EXPO facilities runs on schedule. Already 60 percent of the metal frame of an important structure of the whole exhibition complex, "sphere", has been mounted. Work on the construction of monolithic frame has been completed regarding all the other structures of the exhibition complex, assembly of steel bearing structures and roof is being conducted. One of the first facilities planned for commissioning is the Office of organizer, the work on it nears its completion.
Recommended by EXPO-2017 quality program was launched this year, within the framework of which Astana EXPO-2017 has been working with the hotel business, restaurants, transport companies, tour operators, etc.
Already about 10 companies have been attracted as sponsors, including the NCOC consortium, Air Astana, CISCO and Saint-Gobain companies.
The International Specialized Exhibition EXPO will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan for the first time from June 10 to Sep.10, 2017. The theme of the exhibition is the 'Energy of the Future'.
Astana EXPO-2017 national company, created in 2013 is aimed at carrying out preparations and holding the EXPO-2017 exhibition. The use and operation of EXPO-2017 facilities following the exhibition, is also among the main purposes of the company.
