Kazakhstan unveils its TOP-3 trade partners for 11M2021

Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $91.3 billion over the period from January through November 2021, which indicates an increase of 15.4 percent as compared to $79.1 billion during the same period last year, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The largest share of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade over the reporting period accounted for Russia with $21.7 billion in trade, which is 29.6 percent more than $16.7 billion over the same period of 2020. Russia accounted for 23.8 percent of Kazakhstan’s total foreign trade during the reporting period of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s export to Russia amounted to $6.2 billion ($4.5 billion over the 11M2020), whereas imports equaled $15.4 billion ($12.2 billion over 11M2020)

Russia is followed by China with a share of 18.2 percent in the total foreign trade turnover. China’s trade with Kazakhstan grew by 13.5 percent year-on-year from $14.6 billion over the first 11 months of 2020 to $16.6 billion in the same period of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s export to China amounted to $9.09 billion ($8.7 billion over 11M2020), whereas imports amounted to $7.5 billion ($5.8 billion over 11M2020).

The third-largest trade partner of Kazakhstan was Italy with $8.6 billion in trade, which is 25.7 percent more than $6.9 billion over the same period of 2020. Italy accounted for 9.5 percent of Kazakhstan’s total foreign trade during the reporting period of 2021.

Kazakhstan's export to Italy stood at $7.9 billion ($6.06 billion over 11M2020), whereas imports equaled $720.3 million ($841.7 million over 11M2020).
