BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 23. Kazakhstan’s NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC recorded an increase in foreign direct investments (FDIs) from the top countries investing in Kazakhstan, Trend reports, citing the press service of KAZAKH INVEST.
According to the statement, from January through June 2022, the inflow of FDIs from the Netherlands accounted for $3.3 billion (a 2 -percent increase), investments from the US amounted to $3.2 billion (a 54-percent increase), while Switzerland invested around $1.6 billion (21 percent increase).
Meanwhile, Belgium recorded the largest increase of outgoing FDIs to Kazakhstan. About $1.1 billion was invested in 6M2022, which is 2.2 times more than a year before.
In terms of sectors, the largest growth in foreign investment was recorded by ICT. Some 785.5 million were invested in this sector, which constitutes a 5.4 times growth. The construction sector was a distant second, recording nearly a fourfold increase, reaching 426.3 million.
