BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 30. Kazakhstan produced 51.7 billion cubic meters of gas in 2022, a 3.9 percent decrease compared to 2021 figures, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

For 2023 the total output of gas in Kazakhstan is expected to amount to 53.5 billion cubic meters.

Production of marketable gas in 2022 reached 27.6 billion cubic meters, or 93.9 percent compared to 2021. It is projected that marketable gas production in 2023 will reach 28.2 billion cubic meters.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan reported significant achievements in the petrochemical industry, which manufactured 256,000 tons of goods by the end of 2022, which is an increase of 34.7 percent compared to 2021.

In 2023 Kazakhstan expects to produce nearly 515,000 tons of petrochemical goods.

In 2022 Kazakhstan implemented 142 gas projects, which enabled 284,800 people to receive a gas supply. An additional 86 projects are planned for completion in 2023, which will bring a stable gas supply to the homes of 166,600 people.
