(KAZINFORM) - Kazakhstan should be quickly adapted to the requirements of the new century and be ready for severe competition; Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has told today delivering a lecture entitled towards economy of knowledge through innovations and education in the Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
I want the youth to understand the essence and meaning of the Address, the President noted. High-grade mobile human capital and constant implementation of innovations should become basic competitive edge of Kazakhstan in these terms. Development of modern and advanced science should be also prioritized, reports Trend.
Nations ability to back contemporary and efficient education system, elevate intellectual component of manpower through training becomes crucial for competitiveness, Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed.
Kazakhstan will increase state spending on education within three next years up to 4.1% of GDP. In the year of 2009 science funding will be doubled hitting thus KZT 540 bln, in 2012 infusions will grow by 25 times making KZT 350 bln.
