Kyrgyzstan is expected to adopt a new government structure in spring 2009, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Igor Chudinov said during the parliament session Wednesday.

The new structure will be reportedly adopted after the parliament hearings of the work done by the government in 2008, reported 24.kg.

The main aim of the government's reorganization is splitting into 2 fractions - conducting of policy in certain spheres and regulation, process control. "These two assignments are now united into one ministry, which is inappropriate," Chudinov said.

The parliament member Isa Omorkulov responded that this measure implies reduction in state officials, which in turn will "leave ministers hanging." "You will just run back and forth, apply for tenders and sit without work for another half a year," the lawmaker said.
