Kyrgyzstan doubles import of trucks

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Kyrgyzstan recorded more than a double increase in the import of trucks in the period from January through March 2023, Trend reports.

According to the statistical data of Kyrgyzstan, 2,184 trucks were imported by Kyrgyzstan in the first quarter of 2023, which is a growth of 2.2 times compared to the 980 trucks imported during the same period in 2022.

During the period under review, the value of the imports amounted to $20.4 million, increasing 91 percent over $10.6 million in 1Q2022.

In the specified period, Kyrgyzstan mostly imported trucks from the following countries:

Lithuania – 984 trucks for $2.6 million;

South Korea – 619 trucks for $1.8 million;

China – 236 trucks for $7.7 million;

Germany – 119 trucks for $397,500

The US – 60 trucks for $1.8 million;

Poland – 29 trucks for $66,100

Russia – 29 trucks for $648,700

Sweden – 18 trucks $122,700

Kazakhstan – 16 trucks for $649,500.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imported 30,871 passenger cars in the first quarter of 2023, which us four times more than 6,999 cars in the same period of 2022.
